Prelude 01:19
Mmhmm Well, I don't know where you came from but I don't want you here no mo' Way down south in good ol' Mississpi, there's a little ol' girl looking oh so pretty "I am a man of constant sorrow, I've seen trouble all my days"
2.
Barrier 03:00
There is a barrier between you and me Not sure I can topple it Towers as high as can be between the trees, release You and me agree we’re week This wall is an obstacle, I don’t think we can climb Maybe this is for the best, save ourselves some time Nothing left here to salvage I’m thinking that it’s too late It’s clear that we’ve lost our passion Please tell me that you can relate We stand on hollow ground We can’t seem to make it out
3.
Hello beautiful Hello sunshine Like a bright light In a starry sky You changed my life Like a sign from the divine As I speed through This strange thing called time You make me want To stop and stay a while My life is not A waste When I’m with you You quell the bitter taste And I will try To make Your life as good As you’ve made mine Let’s stay a while Just pass the time with me Let’s take it slow So we don’t miss a thing

Distant 05:18
Issues yet to confront I feel so unimportant Seems like all I do is try Distant and out of your mind Memories you have haunted My love is unwanted Feelings I need to find Distant and out of your mind Oooooo, Hey Oooooo, Hey Why? How did it come down to this? A stranger inside your kiss How did it come down to this? A stranger inside your kiss I tried hard for you (I tried hard for you!) Always fall for you (Always fall for you!) You seem so distracted Sorry I overreacted Wasted all of my time Distant and out of my mind This state makes me anxious My wound is infectious Are you willing to find? Distant and out of my mind Oooooo, Hey Oooooo, Hey Why? How did it come down to this? A stranger inside your kiss How did it come down to this? A stranger inside your kiss I tried hard for you (I tried hard for you!) Always fall for you (Always fall for you!) Unwanted, I gave it all for you! Unwanted, I gave it all for you! Uhh! Goodbye! Goodbye! Goodbye! Goodbye, oh woah oh.

I roll out of my bed by noon and don’t speak to a soul I take a look in the polished glass that hangs on my bathroom wall The dark circles hang below my eyes, a clear sign of distress I probably should have got some sleep for once in my life Chorus: It’s bittersweet, I just repeat the same routine Some call it sad, but it’s not bad, just drives me mad I’ll be just fine, no need to worry, it’s who I am I venture out into the world at lest once or twice a week It’s usually to a crowded place, sometimes just right down the street I sit alone and scan the room, just watching every move So when they say that my life’s a joke, I won’t miss the punchline You’re all I ever wanted to be but I can’t stand it I’ll take the life that was handed to me and learn to own it.

Let’s stay a while Let’s take it slow Hello sunshine Hello beautiful Hello my misguided soul Goodbye sadness Goodbye misery Goodbye all the loves I’ve known We’ll drive out west in my rusted out car We’ll speak of just how fortunate we are With nothing but some clothes and a guitar Without you I won’t make it very far We’ll spend our days reading books and writing songs And we won’t even care if nobody sings along We’ll drink too much coffee and never get any sleep I don’t care where we live as long as you’re mine to keep. We’ll adopt a dog because it’s cheaper than a kid And we’ll raise it better than your parents think they did We’ll get ourselves a house, an apartment built for two We don’t need anyone else it’s always been just me and you We’ll always be together til they lower me into the ground I ust wanna hear your voice, there is no sweeter sound I don’t know where I’d be without you in my life But I’m not sure I want to…

Write On Me 04:15
I won’t be a prop that you play with I won’t be a part of your devilish game Always putting on a show, I won’t be your springboard to success I won’t be your free ride Will you ever let this go? Can you hear me? Are you listening? I’m a blank page, will you write on me? I won’t be your therapy, no I won’t stand by and watch you drown Move my emotions around, I won’t let you dig in deeper I will die before I’m like you Turn my whole world upside down. Can you hear me? Are you listening? I’m a blank page, will you write on me? Can you hear me? Are you listening? I’m a blank page, will you write on me?

My Prison 03:48
Deep inside my prison Lives the kind of freedom That you'll never know In the darkest hour Comes the strongest power Feel my hatred grow No one here above me No one here to love me No one down below Deep inside my prison Lives the kind of freedom That you'll never know Breath me, see me Want me, feel me Free me, fight me Judge me, kill me Breath me, see me Want me, feel me Free me, fight me Judge me, kill me Deep inside my prison Lives the kind of freedom That you'll never know In the darkest hour Comes the strongest power Feel my hatred grow No one here above me No one here to love me No one down below Deep inside my prison Lives the kind of freedom That you'll never know Breath me, see me Want me, feel me Free me, fight me Judge me, kill me Breath me, see me Want me, feel me Free me, fight me Judge me, kill me Here in the shadows lie all of your precious things Your darkness and your sorrow, angels without wings Come back tomorrow, they'll have haunted all of your dreams It's closer than it seems

Roll down the windows of my Honda CRV Let your hair fly freely into your eyes Hold my hand just like you used to When we were 17 and barely legal Adjust you seatbelt so that you're facing me And smile that smile that could tame a thousand beasts Turn the radio up so loud that we can't hear ourselves thinking Me and you staring at the stars Just us two on the roof of my car Can't say that I want tomorrow to come Sleep no more don't worry about tomorrow We might get lost, who needs a path to follow Just sleep no more and stay with me forever I can't say when by I promise it gets better Don't look at me like that you know it makes me weak The kind of stares that see my beauty underneath You know I try to hide the feelings I have inside That's just the teachings of the fathers before me Not even a year gone by and I've forgot the reasons that I loved you It's not for a lack of trying but I've forgotten why I loved you Hello Beautiful Hello Sunshine

The clock ticks away in time with the beating of my heart. From the day we met, I knew that we would never be apart. I fall for the girl who is too shy to speak my name. So small, I ... I am naive inside your game Please help me commence my electric heart You always knew I loved you from the start I crawl back to you inside you hold the key Don't leave me with my electric heart Every single day I smile because I get to see your face Not ordinary, I'll never be tired of the chase I fly when you hold me wrapped in your embrace So I Can't you see that with you's my favorite place Please help me commence my electric heart You always knew I loved you from the start I crawl back to you inside you hold the key Don't leave me with my electric heart

Bro, welcome to reality, take a number, take a seat, here with me The world, it doesn't worship you , your hopes and dreams will all fall through your hands So practice what you always preach, you cocky and life sucking leech Yeah, Yeah Calm your ego and step back, your heart is cold dead and black. Yeah, Yeah Try to see it through your eyes but it comes as no surprise now, right now Just when's it gonna be my turn, oh how I'd love to see you burn So wrong, So right So practice what you always preach, you cocky and life sucking leech Yeah, Yeah Calm your ego and step back, your heart is cold dead and black. Yeah, Yeah

You feel like someone's behind you when you're walking down the hall But when you turn to face them, ain't no one there at all That little voice in the back of your mind sayin "Ima get you this time" Feel their eyes press down on you, oh Lord knows they're gonna kill ya this time Reassure yourself nothings gonna happen tonight No no, just a trick of the eye, aint nothin to fear, just a paranoid disguise No no no, just a trick of the eye, aint nothin to fear just a paranoid No no NO, I saw him with my own two eyes, that devilish figure with murder on his mind No place to run, no place to hide, just gotta stay and fight and pray salvation comes with morning light Still you hear that little voice in the back of your mind saying "Ima get you this time" Feel his hot breath on my neck, oh lord knows he's gonna kill me this time Reassure yourself nothings gonna happen tonight If only you could find the courage just to turn on the light Oh no, just a trick of the eye, aint nothin to fear, just a paranoid disguise No no, just a trick of the eye, aint nothin to fear, just a paranoid disguise No no no, ain't no a trick of the eye, he's coming right towards me, ain't no paranoid disguise No no no, ain't no a trick of the eye, he's coming right towards me, gonna kill me this time

about

We wrote this album during a rough patch in our band. We'd been "between singers" for about a year and a half, but we took it upon ourselves to write this record, lyrics and all, and get it recorded, singer or not. Luckily, our new vocalist, Gavin Cole, stepped up and brought a unique spin to our songs. We can't express how grateful we are to be in the position we're in now. What started out as a 6 song EP of brand new acoustic material soon blossomed into a 12 song LP featuring 5 of our favorite songs off Morose Poesy reimagined as acoustic jams as well as 7 brand new acoustic songs. We set out with a goal in mind of writing songs for this album that weren't your conventional acoustic songs. We didn't want to write 6 ballads/poppy tunes, we wanted to bring the intensity and diversity of our new full band music (coming in May 2017) and just make those ideas acoustic. While some of these songs will be rerecorded full band for our next record, several of them will stay the way they are. We didn't want to just do acoustic versions of our songs, we wanted to just write songs that happen to be on acoustic instruments.

We REALLY hope you enjoy this record. We think there is a little something for everyone on it. Thanks to everyone who has featured on the record, came out to a show, or supported us in any way! We love you guys <3
